Dr. Casandra Jacobs
Meet Dr. Casandra Jacobs, our internist! Dr. Jacobs hails from Wisconsin, where she obtained her
undergraduate degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
She went on to receive her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri College of
Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
To continue her education, Dr. Jacobs completed a year-long internship at
the University of Georgia, where she focused on small animals. She went on to complete her three-year
residency in small animal internal medicine from the University of Wisconsin in 2020. Throughout her
education, Dr. Jacobs gained experience with exotic animals during summer internship and shadowing
programs with zoos, exotic animal rescues, as well as time in South Africa, assisting conservation
veterinarians by helping dehorn rhinos.
Outside of her life in veterinary medicine, Dr. Jacobs lives with her boyfriend, who is also a veterinary
internist, and their five dogs, Roscoe, Oliver, Alfie, Zoey, and Luna. Currently, they are also pursuing cat
adoption. Dr. Jacobs and Roscoe can often be found on walks in their free time, when Dr. Jacobs is not
visiting her extended family in Wisconsin. She tries to go home often to see her family and restock her
cheese supply. Additionally, Dr. Jacobs loves to travel, try new foods, listen to true crime podcasts, and
is an avid Harry Potter fan. She is a Ravenclaw.
